The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the SSC CPO Notification 2026 for recruitment to Sub-Inspector posts in Delhi Police, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and Sub-Inspector (Fire) in CISF.
A total of 1,871 tentative vacancies have been announced across Delhi Police, CRPF, BSF, ITBP, CISF and SSB.
Online applications started on 10 September 2026, and eligible candidates can submit their applications until 30 September 2026 at 11:00 PM. The Computer Based Examination date will be announced separately by SSC.

The normal age limit for Delhi Police SI and CAPF SI GD posts is 20 to 25 years as on 1 August 2026. The age limit for CISF SI Fire is 18 to 30 years.
For Delhi Police SI and CAPF SI GD posts, candidates need a Bachelor's degree from a recognised university or equivalent. Separate science or engineering qualification requirements apply to the CISF SI Fire post.
