Eligibility Criteria of IBPS SO EXAM
Nationality: The candidates who are applying for this exam must be a citizen of India.

Three Stages of the IBPS SO Exam
Preliminary Examination:
It is the first stage of this exam. It is an online objective test that contains questions from English Language, General Awareness and Reasoning subjects. The time duration of this exam is 2 hours and the total mark is 125. The person needs to qualify at this stage to appear for the main exam.
Main Exam:
This is the second stage of the IBPS SO exam which is also an objective type section that includes questions from the English Language, General Awareness, Professional Knowledge, Reasoning and descriptive test. The time allotted for this exam is 3 hours and 30 minutes. The total mark available in this test is 270. Once the candidate qualifies it then becomes eligible to be called for an Interview.
Interview:
This is the final stage of the IBPS SO exam and the one who qualifies in the main exam gets shortlisted for the interview that is conducted by the banks. This interview takes place to test the candidate's personality, suitability and communication skills for the specific post. This interview section covers 100 marks and the final merit list is prepared on the basis of the candidate's performance in the main exam and interview.
